Scrappers of the Carribean round 1

Scrappers of the Carribean round 1

So, I have entered the Scrappers of the Carribean contest over at Scrapbook Oasis. NOT my very favorite scrap store called The Scrapbook Oasis in Irvine, but a scrap vacation thing called Scrapbook Oasis in Florida. Anyway, he first round was requirements were to create a layout abuot water. The layout had to have some sort of swirl pattern, which could be doodles, printed on pattern paper, chipboard etc. Then bonus coins would be rewarded to our treasure chests for:

Double page layout ( 20 coins)
Using chipboard (15 coins)
Journaling more than 20 words (10 coins)
Using paint or ink (10 coins)
Hand Journaling (10 coins)
Mix black and white with color photos (10 coins)

I got everything I needed on the layout. I havd a tough time with this one. I would have never chosen those papers to go with those photos if it wasnt for ths contest. Man it's hard to find swirl paper when you have a deadline. I didnt know if flourish swirls would be okay, because to me they're flourishes and not swirls. Know what I mean? I really like that I used a bunch of old stiff that Ive had hanging around the house for years. the oldest was the tiny bit of glitter I put on the heart to make it sparkle. Ive had that for 17 years :) This layout turned out completely differnt than I had envisioned. Other than the photos and how they're placed. Nothng else is what I had planned. Funny how that happens.

This was all due today at 12pm PST. I barely scraped by with my layout going in at 11:59. I was having serious computer issues and couldnt get the photos uploaded to Kodak. Aaakk!
