More Scraproom photos

This is the last day of 2008. Happy New Year!

So, I said I would post more photos of my scrap/dining room. I wanted to have these posted on my blog and in my 2 peas gallery before the end of the year. I guess thgis just shows what a procrastinator I really am. I wait till the last day of the year is almost over to do it.:P
The photos didn't get uploaded in the order I wanted them too. I forgot they load one on top of the other so they're backwards. But you can still see everything.

First I added more pics of some of the drawers in my
card catalog since I got some emails asking for more peeks.

Gluesticks for the kids

A drawer full of Lil Davis tags, slot pockets and envelopes. Love these things.

Fabric Labels

Deco tape

Wet adhesive.

Now photos of the insides of some of the Branas baskets in the Expedits.

This is most of my flowers. I don't know why the dimensional stickers are in there. I guess I need to move those.

I really like flashcards, so I needed a basket just for them.

This basket has my bolts of ribbon, my bakers twine, and a bunch of fibers I am hanging onto. I also put new ribbons that need to be put on the 3x5 chipboard cards and filed in my card catalog.

Foam stamps. Alphabets in individual doc boxes from a japanese market in Costa Mesa.

This is a basket full of my journaling spots. I keep most of th sticker ones and any that are too big to fit in my card catalog in here.

This is my wet adhesive that doesn't fit in my card catalog. It has all the spray adhesive, Mod Podge, Gel Medium, Rollotaq, Diamond Glaze, Crystal effects etc.

I a couple photos of the paper storage. Many people have asked how I store my paper.

This is the bottom left corner of the big Expedit. I couldn't take a photo of the whole bottom since the table is in the way and nobody was home to help me move it. The entire bottom is filled with 20 CH vertical paper holders. Each of the 5 openings in the bottom hold 4 of those plus a 1 inch one. I have to make the most of every inch of space.

This is my messy corner. I have all of my Bind-it-all owires in the big suitcase. I have a bunch of 8.5x11 papers and some embellishments waiting to be sorted in the basket on top of the suitcase. the basket will be spray painted black in the near future. That is a giant jar of antique MOP buttons. I use them when I make my button frames. I also have a roll of tracing paper I wrap small things with, and a Corona bucket with stuff that needs to be sorted. This corner is embarrassing, since its such a mess.

This is the small Expedit. I have most of my albums and 8 more CH vertical paper holders full of paper in it, plus lots of buttons and my pretty blue scale on top, as I showed in the last blog post. I need to get a couple more 1 inch paper holders to slide in there. I hang the layout I'm working on from a pant hanger I get from Ikea. Next to it, is the small blue suitcase I keep my border punches in (I showed that in an earlier blog post) and another CH vertical paper holder that doesnt fit in my Expedits.

This is the view from the living room. I have that huge window with ugly curtains. I will be replacing them with matchstick blinds for Ikea and a pretty valance I'm making from vinatge hankies and blue fabric. Yes, those are sandbags out in the atrium. When it rains and we don't have those out, our breakfast room floods and scrap/dining room gets wet. I don't want any water around all the paper and flooding my breakfast room, so we live with sandbags for a few months. I'd like them alot more if they were blue. :P That is my tool bag on the ground next to the small Expedit. I got it for Christmas last year from my friend Maggie's husband; Mark, I love it, it holds everything I need to take with me.

You can see how my room is in relation to the front door here. On the left in the entry is my card catalog, on the right just next to the entry railing, but in the actual dining room, is my small Expedit.

This is my lazy susan. I have lots of vintage spice jars on it filled with little embellishements. I also use Frappacino bottles and pasta sauce jars. In the center is a crystal candy dish full of sugar free Jolly Ranchers and sugar free Werthers. MJ eats these while he's doing homework. I will bw soary painting the lids black soon.

This is the view from my card catalog; right next to the front door. YOu can see right inot my kitchen through the door there.

I agree...it's fun to see other's spaces! one detail I noticed and loved is that you used those Starbuck's coffee drink glasses to hold embellishments! What a great idea - they are a perfect shape and size. And recyling too!

Hey Bethie!! I just got a library card catalog with 60 drawers for $100 from a university. I'm so excited. Question for you, how do you get those darn metal posts out. I managed to get 3 out but it took me forever!
My email is tarabus@comcast.net if you would be willing to help me! Thanks!
